A scan of round frame Polaroid film I shot a few years back. The new stock currently only comes in color, so fingers crossed they bring back the black and white variant as well!
At long last, Polaroid round frame is back! It’s currently sold out on Polaroid’s site, but new stock should be arriving soon.
The Impossible Project introduced the round frame several years ago, and many photographers (including myself) were surprised at how much fun it was to use. What is essentially a round crop actually made for some incredible images. I found that it really helped put focus on the subject and reduced distracting elements at the edge of frame.
It had disappeared during the rebranding shuffle as Impossible Project became Polaroid Originals, which is now just Polaroid, so I’m very excited to see it return. Brooklyn Film Camera is also carrying the film, but they’re currently out of stock at the moment as well.
