I’m Dan. I love making stuff, telling stories, and taking care of a French Bulldog named Sofie. Below is a bio for anyone who needs it.

Hailing from the Midwest, Dan is a co-owner and producer at Polymyth Productions, a video production company that has served Chicago for well over a decade.

Dan is also a photographer who specializes in instant film. He’s published hundreds of guides, articles, and reviews on his website danfinnen.com, which has been viewed and shared millions of times around the world.

Writing, be it scripts, stories, or novels, is Dan’s passion in life, and he hosts the Chicago Writers Podcast, the official podcast of the Stories Matter Foundation.

Finally, Dan is also the creator and host of Super Gear Land, a YouTube channel dedicated to all things retro gaming.

Dan has been hard of hearing since he was a small child and is a lifelong advocate for those with hearing loss. He wears hearing aids in both ears.

His favorite food is Cincinnati’s Skyline Chili. LaRosa’s Pizza is a close second.

Dan’s lifelong goal is to complete the Krispy Kreme Challenge in under an hour. So far, his PR is 1:12. Maybe next year…
